We had a great morning yesterday at The Commercial UAV Show at the Excel in East London.  There were a load of great businesses and innovators there.  Showing off their products & services, it really is testament to the way the industry is developing and building so rapidly.  What is key is sustainable and positive growth and ensuring we develop safely and build upon our strengths, ensuring this growth is for the right reasons, not just for endless profit.

drone your… Rain Wednesdays!

Hi guys

Grim weather today so no flying – rain & drones don’t mix.  It’s such a shame as the joy flying our fleet of drones is immense but it gives time to catch up on office admin, invoicing, marketing strategy and most importantly, updating the website & the blog!

Work tomorrow as it’s looking drier, up in Coventry so a quick trip up the M1 from the office in Hertfordshire to a new client.  Should be a good day before a pitch Friday morning and then #HalfDayFriday and the start of an awesome weekend with the family.  More on this to come.

drone your… Feasibility Study

Hello drone your… Followers, welcome to our first blog posting.  The business has been going for well over a year now and we are going from strength to strength.  I am embarrassed that this is our first blog post but will aim to rectify that going forward! The business is building all the time, working for new and repeat clients and expanding our products as we go, ensuring we deliver results that more than exceed our clients’ expectations.

We are building the business specialising in providing aerial photography and film to our clients in the drone your… Construction, drone your… School and drone your… Real Estate sectors.  Creating amazing visual content with high resolution RAW still images and ultra HD 4K video for our clients.  On top of this, we are seeing real enthusiasm for panoramas and 360 degree ‘spheres’ in all sectors.  The ability to give our clients full interactive control on where they are looking, our clients are in a virtual reality 120m above the landscape and controlling where they look which is an amazing innovative product our clients love.

We are also focusing on bringing innovation to our clients, to enable us to differentiate our business from the other commercial drone pilots across the country.  How we are doing this is developing the industrial applications of this amazing technology.  For us, it’s not just about glossy marketing photos from the air, it’s about bringing commercial value to our clients.  We specialise in using photogrammetry (the creation of 3D models, using the principle of ‘stereo pairs’), based on images from our drones, to bring a whole host of benefits that come from drone visibility and accurate 3D model reconstructions of anything from a cliff face, a construction site, a heritage building, a railway line or a dual carriageway.  These 3D models can then provide topographical surveys, polyline measurements, volumetric calculations, area measurements, contour lines, and a wealth of other files & formats which, combined with CAD software can create huge value for our clients.

Above is a recent video of the end of an exciting feasibility study we have recently carried out in Hertfordshire, for a new highways client.  We will be able to share the results with you shortly so watch this space.
